The Greatest Shared Screen Release You Have Likely Not Tried Launches to Switch

The Wizard of Legend Sequel, a procedurally-generated adventure centered on sorcerers attempting to achieve status as renowned heroes, will arrive to Nintendo's console later this month. It'll be available Nov. 25, giving enthusiasts of local multiplayer games a fresh shot to explore one among 2025's top-tier entries in its class.

A Rocky Launch

The Wizard of Legend Sequel adopted the path of numerous lesser-known titles. The developer released it in early access in late 2024 on Windows PC, ahead of releasing it fully, together with PlayStation 5 and Xbox editions, in June 2025. Upon release, it was widely panned. Just less than a third of its audience ratings were positive. Its player reviews on Steam are "divided", drawing from almost a couple thousand assessments, with a lot of gamers pointing out the general lack of polish and abundance of technical issues at launch. Those on consoles also condemned that the cooperative mode, a major attraction for the title, was largely non-functional.

Consistent Refinements

However as with several early access games that release in unpolished conditions, Wizard of Legend II has been shaping up. Over the past few months, the creators have released multiple updates designed to resolve these problems. After playing Wizard of Legend 2 to a greater extent than every other latest game this year, one can assert its functionality has improved relative to initially (on console, if nothing else). It's hit the point where the vast majority of attempts, players can reliably initiate a co-op session to work. Pretty good!

Once It Works, It Works

Furthermore when Wizard of Legend II works, it works. Using an isometric view, you navigate magic-oriented levels by launching incantations in action-oriented mechanics. A great deal of rushing, plenty of evading, plenty of managing cooldowns. This game is dizzyingly fast-paced and endlessly creative; by combining your magical attacks together with an ally's, you can devise powerful synergies.

Switch Edition Specifics

While the portable iteration hasn't been comprehensively reviewed, it's important to remember Nintendo's famously strict approval process for Nintendo titles. The developer stated publicly that the Nintendo release of Wizard of Legend II includes every patch that were implemented this year.
